So once again, some white-boys are here to show us that they can rap, and they can. Rehab pull out all the stops on this record as they tell you non-stop tales of life as an addict and the trouble of trying to gain sobriety. These two Atlanta boys have seen some hard times in their lives and nothing is sacred in their world. The record starts with a skit of them breaking out of a treatment center and goes right into the first track, which pretty much tells you what these guys are all about. The rhyming duties are split equally between Brooks and Danny, which keeps the record from getting to stale. I have heard better duos, but they have the ability and style to keep you entertained through most of the disks 15 tracks, which includes the intro and one interlude aptly titled “My Addiction.” Titles like “It Don’t Matter,” “Drinkin’ Problem,” “Sittin’ at a Bar,” and “Mission Impossible,” give me the feeling that these guys are really optimistic. Drug references and Suicide run rampant throughout the record, so this isn’t a party starter, more like a record to listen to you when your girl leaves you, your mom died and your dog shit on your carpet. The themes seem to be a little bit country influence, but coming from Atlanta, that can be expected. Overall, this record is solid and I could see it appealing to a broad audience, but I think I’ll burn it, so that I don’t have to be seen at the record store buying it or spend my hard earned dollar.
